Hollywood Senior Center Celebrates National Senior Center Month

September is National Senior Center Month. This year’s theme is: Senior Centers: Experts at Living Well. National Senior Center month is a way to recognize the place the Hollywood Center plays in the community. Senior Centers such as Hollywood’s connect older adults to vital community services and offer a variety of programs and services. It is no secret that there are physical and emotional health benefits to remaining socially connected as we age. The Hollywood Senior Center offers that connection on a daily basis. Whether it’s trying Tai Chi, attending a watercolor class, learning how to play the ukulele, activities add richness to the lives of older adults in our community. This month, we celebrate the programming and services that enable older adults to become Experts at Living Well. In addition, to better connect with the online community, the Center is redesigning our website. The new site is more dynamic and current, a one–‐stop place to find out what is happening at the Center and also stay current on issues affecting those older than 50. We are launching the new site this month, be sure to check it out at hollywoodseniorcenter.org, along with liking us on facebook!
